weekend Facelift candidatesWhat is a weekend facelift?

A weekend facelift is also commonly referred to as a mini facelift. It is a facelift that is performed more quickly and has a shorter recovery period than a regular facelift. The technique with which the weekend facelift is performed is newer than the regular facelift methods. The weekend facelift smoothes wrinkled skin in the neck area and in the vicinity of the nose.

What are the advantages of a weekend facelift?

The weekend facelift poses fewer risks and charges more attractive prices than a regular facelift. The look of the face after a weekend facelift is a more natural look than the one achieved by a regular facelift surgery.

What are the disadvantages of a weekend facelift?

The results of a weekend facelift will not last as long as the results of a regular facelift.  While a facelift lasts 9-10 years, a weekend face lift will have to be re-done after 2 years.  The weekend facelift also doesn’t take care of the neck area. However, the incisions made during a weekend facelift are the same as those used in a regular procedure.

Who should consider a weekend facelift?

A weekend facelift is designed for younger people than those who undergo facelift procedures, for people with wrinkles that have just started to show. People who opt to have a weekend facelift are usually discontent with the first signs of aging and aren’t interested in waiting for additional aging signs. A regular facelift addresses an older population and is a more extensive surgery.

The weekend facelift procedure

The weekend facelift procedure is performed with a local anesthetic. Incisions in the vicinity of the ears will be made and a small amount of skin is removed in the areas that need tightening.

Recovery period

Unlike a regular facelift surgery that requires a couple of weeks for healing, the weekend facelift has a short recovery period of 1-3 days.
